Breakfast Time

We went into Lerwick to wait for the Olympic torch relay and decided to have breakfast while we waited. We called into the Harbour Cafe, a place we had never been before, and ordered a full breakfast each. What an amazing breakfast with absolutely fantastic customer service delivered by the gentleman working behind the counter. This place is a MUST to visit if you are ever in Lerwick

While releasing some crabs which Helen caught overnight in her creel I found what looked like a gigantic black slug in the Voe, Helen later identified this as a sea hare

The End Of A Long Day

We finished the day off by having a quiet drink in the Westings Inn on top of the hill overlooking Whiteness Voe. We received a warm welcome as usual from friends and acquaintances made from previous visits. We will never tire of looking at the most scenic views from the windows overlooking Whiteness Voe and beyond.

Fantastic Views

When heading for Whiteness there some of the most scenic views on mainland Shetland

Whiteness Voe

After topping up with supplies off we headed for one of our favourite places. We decided that after the hectic journey and only a few hours sleep each we were going to have a couple of restful days before embarking on our main adventure.
